The C 4000 B represents the latest in AKG's long heritage of true 1", large diaphragm, premium microphones
|
The C 4000 B represents the latest in AKG's long heritage of true 1", large diaphragm, premium microphones. The capsule has been carefully tuned to preserve the integrity of the source while offering mild compliments in the high frequencies. The optimized transformerless output stage insures the accuracy of low frequency and a nearly non-existent self-noise, resulting in an unbelievable dynamic range of more than 135 dB. Open, clear and natural highs coupled with smooth, accurate lows make the C 4000 B an exemplary choice when employed on vocals and on a varying array of string instruments, brass and woodwinds. With all the on-board options the C 4000 B has the versatility to take on many tasks in commercial, project and personal studios as well as on a stage and in the broadcast studio. A switchable 10 dB internal pad may be used for the distortion-free transmission of extremely high sound pressure levels in front of the microphone of up to 155 dB SPL. A 12 dB per octave low frequency cut has also been integrated into the microphone for added protection from unwanted low frequencies or “rumble". Included are the H 100 spider suspension mount which isolates the microphone from the lightest of structural born noises, and the W 4000 windscreen for use in windy environments or up-close broadcast use.
